Choose materials
At the bottom of the project workspace, you'll see the materials selected for Cabinetry, Hardware, Surfaces, and Sink & Faucet. When you first start a project, this section will be populated based on the design palette you chose.
Follow the instructions below or watch this video clip:
You can customize all the selections:
- Scroll down to the item you'd like to customize
- Click the Select from Library button next to each item
- You'll be prompted to select materials from the library
- You can use the search bar to find the exact material you have in mind, or choose from the catalogue
For cabinetry, Skipp only shows door style, finish and stain combinations that are supported by the cabinet manufacturer - you'll never be able to select an impossible combination!
For custom color cabinets, select "Personal Paint Match" and note the specific color in the Design Inspiration section of the questionnaire.
Don't want all your cabinets the same color? Want to add open shelving? This can be done by adding a sub-category for your cabinets.
Simply click the +ADD button and select the type of subcategory you'd like to add. Then make your selection for that subcategory.
You can do this for all the materials listed in the workspace. Pay attention to where subcategories already exist, like for Surfaces. Click on the different tabs to navigate to Countertop, Backsplash, and Flooring.
After making changes to the design selections, always click Save at the top of the screen to lock in your changes
