You'll need to create a project in Skipp in order to receive a [design proposal](docId\:zFWY5TvcwX0zcvO0-pI6H).

## Start a new project

When you're starting a new project, complete the following steps:

- Go to the Skipp [portal dashboard](docId\:Lsc42tMkeIRwG-kZyaShJ)
- Click the *New Project* button in the upper righthand corner of your screen
- Input the homeowner's information
  - *Please don't use special characters in these fields, as it may cause an error*
- Click *Get Started*

## Complete new project tasks

The next page you'll see is the [task list](docId\:Gg2B_k5TJ8Wr1LkxB1ByT), which will show you exactly how to create a project. There are 3 tasks you'll need to complete in order to receive a [design proposal](docId\:zFWY5TvcwX0zcvO0-pI6H) from Skipp:

- [Enter project details task](docId\:fnlHY8_v9nfCuVkRGYFnQ)
- [Select a design palette task](docId:9zdk9YwlFnOXQaKPG6WuT)
- [Provide measurements task](docId\:qXw0fpcvPNoMXkyDTVLEv)

*You can complete these tasks in any order.*

## Submit for processing

 Once these tasks are completed, you can [confirm for processing](docId\:NNJEW4tQ6eeaz0MonMUEp) in order to [receive a proposal](docId\:zFWY5TvcwX0zcvO0-pI6H) from Skipp.
