## Select a palette

There are two steps to selecting materials for your design.

First, you'll be prompted to select a design palette. These palettes are meant to be a starting point for your design, but you'll be able to customize as much or as little as you'd like.

See full instructions on how to select a palette [here](docId\:wuPVRVKu0UxhFzhX8RgUO).

## Customize materials

After you [select a design palette](docId:9zdk9YwlFnOXQaKPG6WuT), you'll be taken to the [project workspace](docId\:DIIt81QS6GCgsk765BLkT). This is where you can choose all the materials you'd like to use in your project. This section will be pre-populated based on the design palette you chose.
